Sunday has traditionally been known as the "day of rest". But, if you're like me, and you can't stop supporting small local businesses, the 3rd Sunday of the month may offer you another opportunity to find interesting merchandise and services!
At the 99 Ranch Market, located at 1151 Mapunapuna St. Honolulu, Hi 96819, there is a market that takes place through the pioneering efforts of Lauren Mori from "808 Craft and Gift Fairs".
After seeing her picture, many of you may recognize her as the (as I've heard from many people before) "Craft Fair Lady". But, Lauren is so much more than that! As a small business owner herself, she has created these incredible events to help other small business owners have a store front to sell their products!
You must be wondering, "what do you mean by these? Does she have more than one?" Indeed she does, Mrs. Mori has a bundle of fun events that happen all over the island of Oahu! Pearl City Shopping Center, Kaimuki High School Craft and Gift Fair, Waimalu Plaza Shopping Center, Momilani Community Center and Manoa Elementary School Craft Fair...and there's more to come! Take a look at her site at:
808 Craft and Gift Fairs.
The craft and gift fairs are perfect locations to come see what small local businesses are selling in your neighborhood! Some of you may recognize a few business names that you have seen before but there are other businesses that you might be discovering for the first time. Lauren told me "most small business owners in Hawaii have a full time job. They can't invest in having a storefront as their small business is still growing. At the craft and gift fair at the 99 Ranch Market, small business owners can tell their customers to come visit them on the 3rd Sunday of each month. It helps them to have a place to showcase their merchandise regularly".
WOW! Now guess what? Are you a small business owner (or know someone who is a small business owner)? Are you looking for a place to start showing your merchandise to the public? Is this your first time selling your product and want to get a taste of what your small business could do? Look know further... Lauren Mori and 808 Craft and Gift Fairs wants you! Please email her with a brief introduction about you and your business to firstname.lastname@example.org .
