As most of us who have participated in "Sunday Brunch" can attest, we wake up mid-morning and starve ourselves while sipping on the first cup of coffee. We know that we're going to brunch at a restaurant that offers a creative flair of sweet and savory dishes, an ambiance of light, friendly customer service and friends to share it with.
Today, we visited "Bread + Butter" near the Ala Moana Shopping Center. Located at 1585 Kapiolani Blvd. #110 Honolulu, Hi 96814. I can't lie and say this was the first time coming here as I'm a veteran of the Bread + Butter Brunch Crew. It has been a while since I visited and I knew the menu has changed a little so I'm very excited to be here again!
If this is your first time coming to "BREAD + BUTTER", you may be curious about the parking...but rest assured FREE parking is available on Saturday & Sunday. The parking garage is located at the back of the building (closer to Ala Moana Shopping Center). Keep an eye out for a placard that says Bread + Butter parking.
Now, we're not the only ones that love brunches on Saturday & Sunday, so making a reservation would be highly encouraged (although they do accept walk-in's) to ensure you have a place to sit upon arrival. Tel: (808) 949-3430 . Especially with this amazing deal...

Upon walking in, you'll notice a lot natural light shining through from the glass windows. The host or hostess will seat you and that's where the fun begins!
So what are you hungry for? A light brunch? Savory? Sweet? Skies the limit when you take a look at the menu ---> Bread & Butter Brunch Menu
Today, I was feeling my sweet-tooth and needed to inhale the "Taro and Banana Pancakes". This has always been a favorite of mine and I couldn't stray away from it.
(Taro and Banana Pancakes: 2 taro and banana pancakes, strawberries, bananas, blueberries, raspberries, whipped cream, maple syrup)
On the opposite end of the table, a savory craving developed which lead to the "Kim Chee Fried Rice Omelette".
(Kim Chee Fried Rice Omelette: kimchi fried rice, 3 waimanalo eggs, portuguese sausage, parsley)
Finally, it is always nice to see small businesses supporting other small businesses. Here at Bread + Butter, they offered an iced tea from SHAKA TEA. This small, local business creates iced teas using Mamaki tea leaves with no sugar. My personal favorite is the Pineapple Mint, so you know I had to get it.
I wanted to send a huge MAHALO to the Bread + Butter crew who made our brunch spectacular! Can't wait to visit you again!
