If you have ever visited a farmer's market on Oahu, the Big Island or Maui, you may already know who I'm speaking of!! WIKI WIKI PEELER of course!
Since I need to be honest, I'll tell you that my first impression of Wiki Wiki Peeler at the Kakaako Farmer's Market at Ward Village Shops was the first time I laid eyes on this company. At first, I passed them by thinking they were just another company trying to sell peelers from the mainland. It didn't hit me til later that this business needed to be a local vendor in order to be featured at the farmer's market! (DUH!)
Today, I saw them again at the Haleiwa Farmer's Market and I made it a point to stop by and find out what made them unique!
Come to find out, the peeler is INCREDIBLE! I didn't realize that I needed one until I watched the demonstration! I asked what made the peeler different from what people would normally see in the marketplace?
The gentleman explained that the peeler is designed and packaged in Hawaii! He explained how they began on the Big Island and expanded to the other islands. I watched how quickly he peeled everything from squash to carrots to potatoes and much more! Take a look at the video below.
If you're ever in the area and see the WIKI WIKI PEELER stop by and ask to watch them demonstrate the abilities of this peeler (and the other 2 that come FREE).
I purchased one today and I'm sure I'll be updating everyone with a video and a blog in the next couple of days.
It's time that I start cooking more at home and hopefully this tool will help me accomplish that goal!
Yes, that's a whale!
When the demonstrator made this, I was already convinced on purchasing this product! Not only is this company a small local business in Hawaii but it is a small local business that will allow me to make these cool vegetable rolls and create a dipping sauce for my next get together! Here's a link from the Wiki Wiki Peeler website that shows a few different recipes.
Here's to healthy eating!
Thank you Wiki Wiki Peeler for your time and demonstration! I hope more people make you shred vegetables and end up purchasing these wonderful peelers!
Mahalo and Aloha,
